Modern photography requires a robust network and off site backups to ensure data safety of very large and numerous photographs and videos. At Boldon.tech we pride ourselves on adapting our services to meet the requirements of our customers. Philip Hunton works with a diverse range of clients including HMRC, JML, Hitachi and many small businesses and required a long overdue update to the IT systems with regards to infrastructure and secure backup systems.

Our initial survey showed a very ad-hoc network which was running at dated speeds and affecting the productivity of the business. We designed a network layout for the business that ensured security and optimised data transfer speeds using carefully selected enterprise hardware. This then allowed us to implement our next phase efficiently, the remote backup.

Once the hardware had been installed and configured, we implemented a cloud based incremental remote backup which could run at night efficiently even though the fibre speeds were not optimal. The whole project was completed quickly and within the initial budget and our remote monitoring allows us to quickly and easily identify and correct any potential issues. In addition, the cloud setup allowed Philip to share his large files with clients securely.
